Chỉ thói quen hoặc tâm lý đã thua thì cố chơi tiếp hay tìm cách khác để gỡ lại, thường hàm ý sự cay cú, không chịu dừng. Cũng dùng để phê phán lối hơn thua, sa đà vì muốn lấy lại phần đã mất.
